Project Description
‘Always Watching’ is a powerful hour-long documentary that shares the heartfelt stories of ten courageous individuals who endured the trauma of Australia’s past government policies - being forcibly removed from their families and what is now referred to as the ‘Stolen Generation’. Through their honest and revealing narratives, viewers are taken on an emotional journey of resilience, healing, and self-reflection.
This film highlights the enduring strength of those who survived and thrived despite systemic injustices and emphasises the vital importance of truth-telling in fostering reconciliation. It also showcases the vital work of LINK-UP (NSW), an organisation dedicated to helping individuals trace their family histories and reconnect with their Cultural roots that were severed by these policies.
Join us to listen, learn, and reflect - because understanding the past is essential to ensuring a future where such injustices never happen again.
